Techniques

Every massage involves using each of these techniques. Having all of these tools at my disposal allows me to adapt to whatever your goals may be.

Deep Tissue
Using sports massage, trigger point work, myofascial release, and stretching techniques this treatment incorporates these various applications of focused pressure to targeted muscle groups. This treatment is aimed at reducing tension, stiffness, and pain, allowing for greater flexibility and joint mobility. This is a great way to alleviate chronic pain, knots, or muscle soreness and to improve your physical health.

Swedish
A therapeutic massage, using oil and incorporating a medley of Swedish techniques (effleurage, petrissage), designed to enhance circulation, encourage relaxation, and reduce muscle tension. Drift away from your hectic life with this soothing massage which is geared to relieve your body and mind of stress. You will emerge feeling radiant and serene.

Sports Massage
If you practice a sport or are fairly active on a regular basis, this type of massage can be a great addition to your fitness routine. The techniques used in sports massage are generally deeper and more firm than a general massage and include things like assisted or passive stretching. Frictioning, a technique which involves applying deep pressure to tissues repeatedly to break down adhesions (sticky bits on tendons) and soften scar tissue can be used if needed. Overall, sports massage involves taking a look at what kind of athlete you are and adjusting the session appropriately
